How to personalize a notebook // DIY // eNtR berlin

My second tutorial! Wohoo! 

It's about how to do embroidery on a notebook and give it a personal touch. It is a lovely christmas present for someone special! So this is also a little christmas tutorial!

I am wearing the awesome Necomimis! Tutorials are much more fun with moving cat ears^^ 
I think I slowly get a hang on this. I would like to be a bit more funny but it's kind of difficult to explain and be funny at the same time. Perhaps that's the reason school was so boring...

Cat heads

It got so cold here in germany! This is my first winter with my shop and my online shops and it's funny how people start to order hats and scarfs as soon as the temperature falls under 0°C (32 degree). All I do at the moment is going to work, sew fluffy bear hats and cat scarfs, going to the post and then head home. Being a fashion designer is not only drawing nice fashion sketches and go to stupid partys. It's also a lot of work that isn't so much fun...

As a compensation to my atelier work I started something new at home. 

I never posted something about this before but I really love embroidery. I did my first piece in preschool and never really stoped. Normally I am into cross stitch but I wanted to create something that is cute and worth selling at my shop. I am quite satisfied with my first try!

Also started this notebook embroidery for the next tutorial! We are shooting on thursday. I am already excited!

Back to the roots

Last sunday I had a shooting with a good old friend of mine. We went to school together and he is the reason why I got involved into this model thing. I had my very first shooting with him because he applied for a photography school and needed pictures. So we went to our school in the evening and did some pseudo gothic pictures. Suprisingly he got accepted and now he is a real photographer. 

Last week he asked me if I would like to model and do styling for his final assignment. The task was to make a print campaign that attracts young people to eat more vegetables and fruits. Here are the results of one funny sunday!

I still can't believe that we both made it to our dream jobs and that we still work together 8 years later. We had so much fun. This tomato with these eyes made my day. We had to stop shooting for five minutes because of this tomato...

My first Tutorial

It's about how to print your own tights! I am totally hooked on all these lovely printed tights out there and I wanted to make my own.

This is me walking and talking

The video about me is now online and the feedback is really good! A lot of new facebook fans and lovely comments. Oh and they added english subtitels! That was a suprise for me! So if you ever asked yourself how I look and what I do all day long... Here is the answer

 

On monday I went to a casting for coke ligth. Please keep your fingers crossed for me. I would love to play in this add and it's a lot of money... 
Here is the outfit I wore (with my favorite machine gun tights) and my new haircolour! I am very happy about it! It took 9,5 hours of bleaching and 2 hours of dying... I still think about getting a soft perm because I think it looks cooler with wavy hair and my super straight asian hair is so difficult to style...

Fur

Winter is coming!

At the moment I am a bit excited because at 22nd of November a Youtube channel will be released called "eNtR Berlin". It's about artist and cool people that do interesting stuff in Berlin. 

One of them is me. One film is a little documantary about my daily life and my atelier. We also did a DIY about printing tights. I hope this is going to be a sucess and a lot of people will see it because I like the project and I would love to do more DIYs for them! 

I will post the videos here but unfortunately they are all in German but I think the DIY is self explaining so you can take a look anyway and tell me what you think!

I finally managed to take fotos of all the fur collars I made weeks ago! Which one is your favorite?

 

Animaco

Convention weekend is over and I am really exhausted. Conventions are always stressfull and a lot of work but I met so much lovely people. 

It's such a nice feeling when I see people walking proudly around in the stuff I made. I want to make a customer section at facebook! A goal for next week!

I also made a a few good deals.

I am now the only shop in Berlin who sells these crazy Necomimi Cat Ears. They move using a brainwave sensor that you have on your forehead and your ear. If you are focused they go up and if your are relaxed they go down. I talked to the guys and they told me that they normal business is building EEGs for hospitals. Crazy isn't it?

I will also add some Lolita wigs to my store. I think they will look nice on top of the shelf. I wasn't able to make fotos because I was busy selling stuff and keep an eye on evil thieves! But here are a few of my booth and my outfits.

Halloween retrospection

The last 2 weeks were very tough! This post will be about my halloween party and next time I will tell you about the convention! 

I hosted a halloween party at my shop. You can read all about the history here. The party was awesome! I was so happy that 90% of the people were all dressed up in nice costumes! My mum was on the ground floor and acted as a fortune teller. She called herself "Madame Fortuna". It was so funny... And we danced a lot at my cellar that we decorated the day before with a lot of spiderwebs and other spooky stuff! I also painted some things on a cardboard and cut them out.

 I went as "Lady Spock" and Anna was my "Uhura". I wanted to go as Effie from Hunger Games but Anna and I always wanted to make these costumes and I thought it would be nicer to do something with her! She gave her best to cover my real eyebrows and drew on these cool vulcan eyebrows!

I just have these blurry pictures to show you because we had no real fotografer and even if we had, he would be to drunk after 2 hours

Italo went as Two Face and we made these funny comic pictures

The only bad thing was cleaning on the next day... It took us 7hours to get everything done... This was definitely the last party until our first shop anniversery in may next year!

Convention preparations

Sorry for the lack of posts but I am very busy working on stuff for an upcoming convention in Berlin! 

It's the first time I ordered two tables! So I have to work hard to get them filled with new stuff. I don't want to bring the same selection every year... I tried to make some cute plushies for this year. That's my first try

And I started making a new dress for myself. I can't remember when I made one for myself. I have to sell all the pretty dresses that I sew for my shop rent... and after 8 hours of sewing i can't get myself up again for doing something for myself. So I take 2 days off now and make dresses for me. A Onepiece and a Jumper skirt. One classy(with Alice in wonderland fabric) and one cute(with cupcake fabric). I will post some pictures as soon as they are finished!
